Mother!

Acrylic painting on canvas (16X20)

My mother, Kiran Jain, is like a ray of the Morning Sun to the birds. Like the Morning Sun makes birds chirpy, they would wait around sprightly for her to feed them. My mother would treat those birds like her own kids. It won't be inapt to say, she took care of us (her kids) as if we were birds. Being protective first and then leaving free to explore the sky, pushing to achieve more in life later. She'd never impose her ideologies and expectations on us. Her love for birds or we can say birds' love for her is the inspiration behind this painting.

ALL OK!

Acrylic painting on canvas (11X14)

This portrait was designed and painted for my husband, Alok Jain, on his 37th birthday.

My idea was to create a piece with his name and a reference to our 2-year-old daughter. So, I came up with the idea of him holding a coffee mug with a cute little girl in a pink dress. I wanted to put an inspirational quote on his mug. So, I transformed his name "Alok" to 'ALL OK!'. I wanted the expressions of the girl on his mug to go with quote "ALL OK". So, I designed my daughter with open hands, cheerful and dancing.
