About VIDHI

“Art is what I love, it is what I am most passionate about. Seeing people appreciate my work makes me very happy. Art is about sharing, the way we experience the world.” ~ Vidhi Jain

Vidhi Jain is largely a self-taught artist and participates in online and in-person courses to brush up on her techniques. She was born and raised in the city of Bina, India. At the tender age of eight, she began drawing by copying cartoons from magazines then painting these cartoons. She is a graduate in the field of ayurveda and ayurvedic medicine from Barkatullah University, Bhopal, India.

Her two greatest achievements were to design and paint The Little Free Library and the sidewalk murals adjacent to the community garden in her neighborhood. Both projects are located at 5401 North, Raleigh.

Being able to contribute to her neighborhood through her art brings her a great deal of happiness. In addition, she feels honored and blessed to help her neighborhood be a part of the world’s largest book-sharing movement through her painting of the Little Free Library.

She views the world as a beautiful and colorful piece of art. Through this view, she is inspired to create vibrant paintings of people, landscapes and nature, using bold colors to illustrate humanity’s bond with nature.

Vidhi’s husband recognizes her passion for art and encourages her to express her imagination through art. He supports her in every way he can.
